Etymology

    Borrowed from Classical Persian اِلْهَام (ilhām), borrowed from Arabic إِلْهَام (ʔilhām), from أَلْهَمَ (ʔalhama). First attested in c. 1657 as Middle Hindi الہام (alham /⁠ilhām⁠/).[1]
