[edit]Borrowed from Aramaic אִיכָּרָא / אִכָּרָא (ʾikkārā), ܐܱܟ݁ܳܪܴܐ (ʾakkārā, “farmer”), from Akkadian 𒀳 (ikkarum, “farmer”), from Sumerian 𒀳 (engar, “farmer”).
