נִקְבַּר (nikbár) (nif'al construction, future ייקבר / יִקָּבֵר, active counterpart קָבַר)

  1. to be buried, interred
    • Tanach, Genesis 35:19, with translation of the Jewish Publication Society:
      וַתָּמָת רָחֵל וַתִּקָּבֵר בְּדֶרֶךְ אֶפְרָתָה הִוא בֵּית לָחֶם׃
vatámot rakhél vatikavér b'dérekh 'efráta hí béit lákhem.
wattā́moṯ rāḥēl wattiqqāḇēr bəḏéreḵ ʾep̄rā́ṯā hī bēṯ lā́ḥem.
And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath--the same is Beth-lehem.
