Borrowed from Aramaic נזר (literally he abstained), compare Arabic نَذَرَ (naḏara, literally he consecrated) and Arabic نَذِرَ (naḏira, literally he showed reserve), Akkadian 𒈾𒉌𒌓𒊒 (nazáru, literally he cursed).
