1. torch
   • 1936 December 10, “אנו נושאים לפידים (anú nos'ím lápidim, “We carry torches”)”, performed by Aaron Zeev:

     אָנוּ נוֹשְׂאִים לַפִּידִים / בְּלֵילוֹת אֲפֵלִים.

     'ánu nos'ím lapidím / b'léylot 'afelím.

     We carry torches / in foggy nights.

2. pot, particularly one in which light is carried
