- Third-person feminine singular vav-consecutive imperfect (hence past tense) of קָרָא (kará).

- וַתֵּלֶךְ הָעַלְמָה וַתִּקְרָא אֶת אֵם הַיָּלֶד
- vatélech haalmá vatikrá et em hayáled
- And the maid went and called the child's mother.
