[edit]וַיָּנָס • (vayános) (Biblical Hebrew pausal form וַיָּנֹס (vayanós))
- Third-person masculine singular vav-consecutive imperfect (hence past tense) of נָס (nás).
- Tanach, Exodus 4:3, with translation of the King James Version:
- וַיְהִי לְנָחָשׁ וַיָּנָס מֹשֶׁה מִפָּנָיו
- vayhí l'nachásh vayános moshé mipanáv
- and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it
