- vat'hí reshít mamlakhtó bavél v'érekh v'akád v'khalné b'érets shin'ár.
wattəhī rēšīṯ mamlaḵtō bāḇel wəʾéreḵ wəʾakkaḏ wəḵalnē bəʾéreṣ šinʿār. - And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
