Etymology
[edit]From Middle High German ieteslich, composed of Middle High German ietes + Middle High German lich. This from is further derived from Middle High German ie + eteslich (or etelich).[1] Probably also influenced by Middle High German iegelich (and hence the variant איקלעך).
