Etymology
[edit]From ցավդ (cʻavd, “your pain”), from ցավ (cʻav, “pain”), and տանեմ (tanem), first person future subjunctive of տանել (tanel, “to take away”). Literally, "I would take away your pain". Compare Georgian შენი ჭირიმე (šeni č̣irime).
