     Բայց ի ժամանակեան միոջ եկին գողք, եւ գողացան զեզինս եկեղեցւոյն սրբոյ զԽադայ եպիսկոպոսին, առին եւ գնացին։ Իսկ ի միում աւուր աչք կուրացեալ եղեն գողոցն, եւ ինքեանք յանիմաստս առ խարխափս եկին ածին ի դուրս սրբոյն Խադայ զամենայն եզինսն։

     Baycʻ i žamanakean mioǰ ekin gołkʻ, ew gołacʻan zezins ekełecʻwoyn srboy zXaday episkoposin, aṙin ew gnacʻin. Isk i mium awur ačʻkʻ kuracʻeal ełen gołocʻn, ew inkʻeankʻ yanimasts aṙ xarxapʻs ekin acin i durs srboyn Xaday zamenayn ezinsn.

       And on one occasion thieves came, stole and carried off oxen belonging to the church of the holy bishop Xad, but on the next day the eyes of the thieves were blinded so that they groped their way senselessly and themselves brought all the oxen to the door of St. Xad.
