яғыу (yağıw)

  1. to make fire in a dedicated place
    1. (intransitive or takes ут as object, takes location in dative case) to make fire in a stove, fireplace etc. for heat and/or preparation of food
      Өйгә ҡайтып, усаҡҡа ут яға тор.
      Öygə qaytıp, usaqqa ut yağa tor.
      Go home and make fire in the stove.
    2. (takes object in indefinite accusative) to light a candle, lamp etc.
    3. (transitive) to heat house or facilities
    4. (transitive) to burn, use something as fuel
