Usage notes
[edit]Since the 2014 pro-Russian unrest, the miner has become a symbol of the Russian separatists in the Donbass region. One motto used in the Donetsk People's Republic is "шахтёры возродят мощь Донбасса" ("miners will revive Donbass's power").
