Pannonian Rusyn
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Old Slovak cesnak, cesnok, from Proto-Slavic *česnъkъ. Cognates include Slovak cesnak. Deletion of -н- (-n-) in oblique cases is due to re-analysis as being suffixed by -ок (-ok) (thus цеснк- (cesnk-) → цеск- (cesk-)), which compare also Polish czosnek, plural form czosnki.
Pronunciation
[edit]Noun
[edit]цеснок (cesnok) m inan (related adjective цесков)
Declension
[edit]Declension of цеснок
