Dialectally also хли́бкий (xlíbkij), хлибко́й (xlibkój), хли́бый (xlíbyj); inherited from Proto-Slavic *xlibъkъ. Cognate with хли́бать (xlíbatʹ, to fall ill, to shake from weakness), also хли́бить (xlíbitʹ).
