[edit]Unknown, found only in Khalkha and Khamnigan Mongol kiima, which may be a loan.
Edal proposes a connection with Proto-Tungusic *xemugde (“belly, intestines”), see Evenki эмугдэ (əmugdə, “innards, heart”). [1]
