Cognate with Serbo-Croatian sjȅći, сје̏ћи, Slovene sẹ́či, Bulgarian сека́ (seká), Belarusian сячы́ (sjačý), Ukrainian сі́кти (síkty), Slovak siecť, Upper Sorbian syc, Lower Sorbian sec, Polabian sect, Czech síct and Polish siec.
