Etymology

Borrowed from Serbo-Croatian рихтати / rihtati, from German richten. Displaced рихтовац (rixtovac), from Old Slovak richtovať, which compare Polish rychtować. By surface analysis, adapted borrowing of German richten +‎ -ац (-ac).
