Inherited from Old East Slavic пападïꙗ (papadïja), Greek παπαδιά (papadiá), cognate with Ukrainian попадя́ (popadjá), Belarusian пападздзя́ (papadzdzjá) or пападзьдзя́ (papadzʹdzjá).
