Usage notes
[edit]- Unlike in Czech and Slovak, negation of verbs is not done with a prefix. Instead, нє (nje) is used as a separate word before the verb, akin to in Polish and East Slavic languages. However, adjectives, adverbs, and some nouns are negated using нє- (nje-) as a prefix.
