маразматик
Appearance
Russian
[edit]Etymology
[edit]From мара́зм (marázm, “senility, idiocy”) + -ик (-ik, “-ic, -ist”), but on an extended stem маразмат- (marazmat-), as if derived from an Ancient Greek *μάρασμα, *μαρασματ- (*márasma, *marasmat-) – extant in Early Modern Greek μάρασμα (márasma) – whereas the true etymon is the Ancient Greek μαρασμός, μαρασμ- (marasmós, marasm-).
