[edit]Etymology
[edit]Borrowed from Greek λεμονάδα (lemonáda), from Venetan łimonada. First attested in 1846. The form with -адь (-adʹ) is borrowed from Russian лимонад (limonad), and the one with -ата (-ata) arose by influence of either Ottoman Turkish لیموناطه (limonata) or Italian limonata.
Cognates include Serbo-Croatian limunáda / лимуна́да, Aromanian limunadhã and Albanian limonadë.
