[edit]Etymology
[edit]The earlier form with /t/ stems from Italian limonata while the one with /ð/ was mediated by Greek λεμονάδα (lemonáda). The form with /d/ appears only later, which is why it likely reflects a more recent borrowing from French limonade rather than an original loan from Venetan łimonada.
