[edit]From Proto-Slavic *kъrma, possibly from Proto-Indo-European *ḱr̥h₃-m- (“porridge, soup”) or *ḱh₁erh₂- (“to mix”), see also Latin cremor (“thick juice made by boiling grain”), Proto-Celtic *kurmi (“beer”), Ancient Greek κεράννυμι (keránnumi, “to mix”).[1][2]
