Etymology

Inherited from Old East Slavic каꙗтисѧ (kajatisę),[1] from Proto-Slavic *kàjati + reflexive -ся (-sja). Compare Ukrainian ка́ятися (kájatysja), Belarusian ка́яцца (kájacca).
