Cognate with Old Turkic [script needed] (iriŋ, “pus”); Kazakh ірің (ırıñ, “pus”), Kyrgyz ириң (iriŋ, “pus”), Uzbek yiring, Khakas ірінъ (ìrìnʺ, “pus”), Tuvan ириң (iriñ, “pus”), Turkish irin (“pus”), etc.
