From Tatar Карамирза (Qaramirza) or an equivalent Crimean Tatar name, and the suffix -ин (-in). See кара (qara, black) and мирза (mirza, a noble title) for the constituent parts of the name; the latter derives from Persian میرزا (mirzâ).
