[edit]Alternative forms
[edit]- νωχαλής (nōkhalḗs)
Etymology
[edit]Furnée convincingly compares νῶκαρ (nôkar, “lethargy”), which points to Pre-Greek origin. The variant form in -χαλ- leads to the same conclusion.
