[edit]Etymology
[edit]The formation is similar to κάκκαβος (kákkabos), κόλλαβος (kóllabos) and σίττυβος (síttubos). Perhaps from κάννα (kánna, “reed”), if properly a reed frame. However, given the variation "ν/νν", the word would be Pre-Greek.
