[edit]Etymology
[edit]Without a certain explanation. Often connected with Breton kelorn (“bucket”) but this does not explain the -α-. Furnée connects it with Ancient Greek κελέβη (kelébē), for which there seems no reason. Possibly from Pre-Greek.
