Form of αγρικάω (agrikáo) as γρικ(ώ) (grik(ó)) + modern suffix -άω (-áo). Simplified spelling of the inherited from Byzantine Greek ἀγροικῶ (agroikô) with multiple forms and uncertain propositions for its etymology.[1][2][3]
