[edit]An Egyptian word. Compare Arabic بسر (busr, “unripe dates”), Classical Syriac ܒܣܪܐ (*busrā, “unripe grape”), Jewish Babylonian Aramaic בֻּסְרָא (busrā) and Hebrew בֹּסֶר (boser, “unripe grape”).
