[edit]From βᾰρῠ́θῡμος (bărŭ́thūmos, “sullen”) + -ῐ́ᾱ (-ĭ́ā), from βᾰρῠ́ς (bărŭ́s, “heavy, grievous”) + θῡμός (thūmós, “soul”).
