Κάβειροι
Appearance
Ancient Greek
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Unknown, though unlikely to be related to Sanskrit कुबेर (kubera, “god of riches and treasure”). The root of the name has been suggested to be the same as that in Κάβαρνοι (Kábarnoi, “priests of Demeter”), indicating a Pre-Greek origin.
