Pronunciation
[edit]Noun
[edit]šarlatȃn m anim (female equivalent šarlatȃnka)
- (derogatory) charlatan (someone who pretends to be an expert, even though they have no knowledge or skills to do so)
- 2024 October 30, Janko Lorenci, Komentar / Trumpova skrivnost[1]:
- In short, America and the world are in no way indifferent to who wins on November 5th. It seems that such a clown-joker type, such a notorious liar, charlatan, corrupt person, harasser of women, a man in a hundred lawsuits, a fake big businessman (he inherited all his wealth) could not become the first politician anywhere in the Union, not even in Slovenia. If half of Americans vote for him, it means that society has been thrown off track.
- (derogatory) fraudster, swindler
