- A dolly zoom.

- Another, though less common, use of depth of field can be found in the zolly, or zoom-with-a-counter-dolly shot. In this camera move, the characters or object being viewed will often stay the same relative scale while the lens length changes.

- In Jaws, Spielberg used the zolly effect when Brody witnesses a little boy eaten by the shark. Brody is sitting on the beach and as the camera dollies toward him, the zoom lens is pulled back.
