  1. Subclass of vehicle pertaining to the class of zero-emission vehicles.
    • In 2023, 1 548 417 new zero-emission passenger cars were registered in the EU. This corresponds to a share of 14.5% in all new registrations of passenger cars in EU countries. The highest shares of zero-emission passenger cars in new registrations were noted in Sweden (38.6%), Denmark (36.1%) and Finland (33.8%), while the lowest shares were recorded in Croatia (2.6%), Slovakia (2.9%) and Czechia (3.1%). Regarding other zero-emission vehicles, EU countries reported 100 817 newly registered light lorries (maximum mass up to 3.5 tonnes); 5 262 motor coaches and buses; 4 037 heavy lorries (maximum mass exceeding 3.5 tonnes); and 899 road tractors. – — ― Eurostat, 14 janvier 2025
