zatnout pf (imperfective zatínat)

to drive, to cut, to sink
Zvedl sekyrku a s chutí ji zaťal do špalku.
He picked up the axe and drove it into the log with zest.
to clench, to flex, to tense
zatnout pěsti/zuby ― to clench one's fists/teeth

Já mu zatnu tipec! ― I'll fix him!

Conjugation

The verb zatnout does not have present tense and the present forms are used to express future only.
