1. Any of various plants which produce a yellow resin, some of which are used medicinally:
   1. (Australia) Any of various plants of eastern Australia, especially Xanthorrhoea resinosa and Eucalyptus leucoxylon; also (obsolete) the resin itself. [from 18th c.]

   2. Trees of genus Nyssa, of North America and Asia.
