1. (politics) wokeism; movement or group of people who are aware of the seriousness of existing social injustices (namely with regard to issues of discrimination and racism), acting actively to combat them
2. (politics, derogatory) movement or group of people who promote political correctness and cancel culture by advocating unreasonable or extremist proposals from a position of moral superiority.
