  1. (UK, obsolete, dialect) A whisket, or basket.
    • a. 1794, Thomas Green Fesseden, A Treatise on Saltpetre:
      a workman is constantly employed, with a perforated ladle, to take out the marine salt, which now begins to form, and fall to the bottom of the boiler; this, being thrown into a wisket, drains into the boiler
