war grave (plural war graves)

  1. A burial place, grave(s) for individual victim(s), soldiers and/or civilians, of warfare, including civil war.
  2. (usually in the plural) A cemetery reserved for such victims.
  3. A vessel that has sank or aircraft that has crashed during war and which serves as the resting place for one or more victims.
