Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Sanskrit विचरति (vicarati). Cognate with Maharastri Prakrit 𑀯𑀺𑀅𑀭𑀇 (viaraï), 𑀯𑀺𑀬𑀭𑀇 (viyaraï), 𑀯𑀺𑀘𑀭𑀇 (vicaraï), Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀯𑀺𑀘𑀭𑀤𑀺 (vicaradi).
By surface analysis, vi- + carati.[1]
