    • 1926-1933, Anton Hansen Tammsaare, chapter XIII, in Tõde ja õigus (Truth and Justice)[1], page 95:
      Ta käis mõisas vanahärra juures viljapuid kuulamas kambri otsa asutatava rohuaia tarvis ja härra lubas viljapuud jumalamuidu – peremehele rõõmuks, härrale mälestuseks, nõnda oli ta öelnud.
      He went to the old man's house to listen to the fruit trees at the end of the chamber he was founding and the lord promised the fruit trees as a godsend - for the pleasure of the landlord, in remembrance of the lord, so he said.
