ukoto
Appearance
Yoruba
[edit]Etymology 1
[edit]Its lack of attestation in most Èkìtì subdialects except for Èmùré and Àkúrẹ́ may suggest that it is a borrowing from Oǹdó and Ọ̀wọ̀, or it has been replaced by odidi in those areas, as odidi is also replacing ùkótó in areas where ùkótó has been attested. Largely only seen in oral poetry.
