1. A child who has presumably fallen ill for continuing to nurse through its mother's pregnancy.
   • 1571, Alonso de Molina, Vocabulario en lengua castellana y mexicana y mexicana y castellana, f. 152v. col. 2:

     Tzipitl. la criatura que eſta enferma o deſgañada / a cauſa de eſtar ſu madre preñada.

     Tzipitl. a child who is sick or has lost its appetite because its mother is [again] pregnant.
