Dutch

[edit]
Seleucidis melanoleucus

Etymology

[edit]

From twaalf (twelve) +‎ draad (wire) +‎ -ig (adjectival suffix) +‎ paradijs (paradise) +‎ hop (hoopoe) - but note that the hoopoe (Upupa epops) is only very distantly related to this bird, so taxonomically this is something of a misnomer.
