[edit]The very formal tygum form is in most cases correct, as it is the first question one will ask a foreign Faroese. If he or she addresses you with tú, you can use the informal form. The informal version of this phrase is: tosar tú enskt?. Other languages spoken by many Faroese include: týskt (German), franskt (French) and the Nordic languages danskt (Danish is mandatory school subject as English), svenskt (Swedish), norskt (Norwegian) and íslendskt (Icelandic). Faroese is named føroyskt.
