torch down (third-person singular simple present torches down, present participle torching down, simple past and past participle torched down)

  1. (transitive, literally) To set all of (something) on fire, especially so as to destroy it.
    Torch it down, boys, burn the whole thing down!
  2. (transitive, roofing) To use a propane torch to burn sheets of modified bitumen, a technique used on roofs to provide waterproofing and fire resistance.
