Etymology

From tërthor +‎ -të, the former a prefixal derivative with tër-, based on *thor, from Proto-Albanian *tsāsra, continuing Proto-Indo-European *ḱes-ro- (to cut). Cognate to Sanskrit शस्त (śásta, cut down, slaughtered), Ancient Greek κεάζω (keázō, to split).[1] Related to ther.
